My fathers father was born in Greece and immigrated to this country. I am 60 years old consider myself very liberal. I do not have anything against the illegal immigrants because they are like me trying to do the best that they can. I do despise the fact that they are here in America and I think anyone that hires an illegal immigrant should have to serve jail time. Illegal immigrants drag down all incomes and cause the quality of the life for 90% of all americans to be less than it would be if they could not work here. Your quest is SO WRONG when he says they take jobs that americans will not do. I live in SW florida where the unemployment rate is 15%. In my 60 years I have never seen a job that americans would not do. Illegal immigrants take jobs for less money with fewer benefits often for pay that is illegal, below minimum wage off the books and with out time and half for overtime. John McCain said we could not get americans to pick lettuce if it paid $50/ hour.
The truth is if it paid $9/ hour with benefits and time and half for overtime you could not control the crowds of americans in line to take a job picking lettuce. LOCK UP EMPLOYERS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Take away the jobs and they will leave. We do not have to deport them.

Everyone in Southwest Florida is paid less and or unemployed because of the illegal immigrants that have jobs. Put the employers in JAIL.
